Burnout Workshops & Workplace Consulting
For organizations in Raleigh-Durham and nationwide
Your people are running on empty.
A pizza party won't fix it.
Burnout is now one of the biggest drivers of turnover, disengagement, and quiet underperformance. Most workplace wellness efforts fail because they treat burnout as an individual willpower problem instead of what it actually is: the result of how people, work, and systems interact.
WorkLife Co brings a clinical and organizational lens to that problem. I'm Dr. Beth Vincent, a PhD-level licensed counselor and educator who has spent 13-plus years working with burned-out professionals, training clinicians, and teaching at the graduate level. I help organizations understand what's driving burnout in their teams and what actually changes it.
How I work with organizations
Workshops and trainings
Interactive sessions built for real workplaces, not generic lunch-and-learns. Popular topics include recognizing burnout before it becomes turnover, sustainable performance for high-achieving teams, boundaries and workload communication, and manager training on supporting struggling employees without becoming their therapist. Sessions run virtual or in person in the Raleigh area, and every workshop is tailored to your team's actual context.
Consulting
For organizations that want to go deeper than a single event. I work with leadership and HR to assess the drivers of burnout in your environment, from workload design and communication norms to recognition and role clarity, and build practical recommendations you can implement. No 90-page report that sits in a drawer.
Speaking
Keynotes and conference sessions on burnout, work and identity, and building workplaces people don't need to recover from.
Why this works when wellness programs don't
Most wellness programming asks employees to cope harder: an app subscription here, a resilience webinar there. Meanwhile the conditions creating the burnout stay exactly the same, and your most conscientious people quietly absorb the gap until they leave.
My approach looks at all three levels: the individual patterns that drive overwork, the team dynamics that reward it, and the organizational systems that require it. That's the same framework I use with hundreds of hours of individual burnout clients, translated to the organizational level. Your team gets someone who has sat with the human reality of burnout, not just the research on it.
Who this is for:
Companies noticing rising turnover, disengagement, or quiet quitting on high-performing teams
HR and People leaders who want evidence-based programming, not wellness theater
Group practices, healthcare organizations, and universities supporting helpers who are running on fumes
Leadership teams who suspect the problem is bigger than any one employee

Common Questions
-
It depends on length, format, and customization. Reach out with what you have in mind and I'll send a straightforward proposal. No drawn-out sales process.
-
Yes. Workshops and consulting run fully virtual, hybrid, or in person in the Raleigh-Durham area.
-
No. Organizational work is education and consulting, not clinical treatment. If individual employees need therapy or coaching, I can point them toward appropriate resources, including my own practice where fitting and ethical.
-
I've worked with everything from leadership teams of five to full-staff trainings. Format adjusts to size.
-
Yes. I don't use a one-size-fits-all presentation. We'll talk beforehand about what you're seeing, your team and workplace culture, and what you want employees or leaders to walk away with. I use that information to tailor the content, examples, and practical tools to your organization.
-
Then we shouldn't pretend a workshop will fix it. Training can help employees and managers recognize burnout and change patterns within their control, but it can't compensate for chronic understaffing, unclear roles, unsustainable workloads, or unhealthy workplace norms. That's where consulting can help identify what's happening at the team or organizational level and develop practical recommendations for change.
