About My Work
Supporting burnout, career stress, and meaningful change
You may be someone people rely on.
At work, in your relationships, in the way you move through your day.
For a long time, that may have worked. It helped you build a career and create stability.
At some point, though, it starts to feel like too much.
Like your work is taking up more space than you ever intended.
Like you are always “on,” even when you are not working.
That is usually where people find me.
I specialize in burnout, career stress, and the relationship between work and mental health.
I work with high-achieving professionals who are functioning well on the outside but feel something is off internally.
You are showing up, performing, and handling what is in front of you, but it no longer feels sustainable.
Much of my work focuses on burnout therapy in North Carolina, especially for people navigating pressure, identity, and career transitions, or trying to make sense of what comes next in their work.
What I focus on
My style is warm, direct, and structured.
I am not the kind of therapist or coach who will sit back and nod without helping you move forward.
At the same time, I am not going to hand you a generic plan or push you into quick fixes.
Instead, we focus on:
Understanding the patterns that are keeping you stuck
Getting clear on what is actually driving your burnout
Making intentional changes that hold over time
There is space for reflection, but also movement.
We are not just talking about what is happening. We are working toward changes you can feel in your day-to-day life.
Most of the people I work with are not just looking to talk about what is happening. They want things to feel different in their actual life.
How I Work
I have spent over a decade working in counseling, teaching, and career development, and I have seen how deeply work shapes the way we experience ourselves.
Not just what we do, but how we measure our worth, how we spend our time, and how much space we feel allowed to take up in our own lives.
I have also seen how easy it is for work to quietly become everything, even for people who never intended that.
Your career should support your life, not consume it.
WorkLife Co is grounded in that belief. That you can care about your work without losing yourself in it, and that building a life you actually enjoy is not something you have to earn.
Why this matters
About me
I am based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I value the balance this area offers. There is access to meaningful work, but also space to step outside of it.
You will usually find me on the greenways, riding my bike, escaping to the mountains, or spending time with people who help me step out of doing mode and back into being present. My dog Riley is often part of that.
That balance is not just something I talk about professionally.
It is something I am actively working to build in my own life too.
Training & Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor, and I have been working in the counseling field since 2013.
I hold a PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education and have spent years teaching and supervising graduate students alongside my clinical and coaching work.
If you would like to see more of my background, you are welcome to connect with me on LinkedIn or view my Psychology Today profile.
A note on inclusivity
My work is grounded in a commitment to inclusivity, cultural awareness, and respect for the full complexity of your identity.
I work with individuals across diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, and I aim to create a space where you can show up fully, without needing to explain or justify who you are.
I am affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and continue to actively grow in my awareness and advocacy.
